Two west country businessmen Robin Bath of Arebee Signs and his friend Gappy of Gapp Building Supplies who just love to drive participated to the Scumball Rally , an event that starts in Donnington Park near Derby and ends with a drive round the famous Nürburgring race track, Germany .

This is a great event run for and by car enthusiasts who like to put their skills to the test! It is NOT a race but rewards the best cars, those who raise the greatest sum for charity or those with the most well presented cars –as well as awarding a few “worst of” prizes en route! Basically it’s a great excuse for car enthusiasts to apply their skills in bringing older cars (bangers) up to high standards of roadworthiness as well as getting together to have a good time and exchange tips and experiences. The car used by Robin and Gappy a beautifully turned out 2.5l Vauxhall, was covered in the MS Research charity’s logo and those of their supporters. Many thanks Robin, and Gappy and their supporters! £1,000 raised for MS Research!
Scumball 3000 is now known as Scumrun. Watch Scumrun on Sky TV and then make up your mind to do the run in 2011 for MS Research charity! Look at the 365 Campaign to fund a day of Multiple Sclerosis research! Persuade your best mate to join you! We would love to know about your spirit of adventure!
